Playing with the little cars Grandma Lizzy found on clearance & got as surprises for Simon

Still playing cars...Since that night, these cars (from the movie Cars) have become the new best friends for Simon. He takes them to his room at night & arranges them on the rug while he sleeps (for us to trip over while we check on him) and then grabs them as soon as he's up in the morning. They come to Grandma's house when we go visit, they come upstairs when we go to play, they come downstairs to sit on the table while we eat breakfast....they are the best best friends.

Simon was so excited about the birthday cake that he insisted we eat it before doing presents or eating dinner or anything else when we got to Mom & Dad's house. We said..."okay." We had small pieces. Then after dinner, we needed dessert, so we had more. This time we had ice cream with it too. Simon wasn't asleep till almost 11:00PM. Oops. No more birthday parties for THIS kid for a while.
