Since Mom & I never found a pumpkin patch the other week, we decided to venture out with the men too. On Sunday, October 12, we headed out for a harvest fun day.
We decided to do the whole "she-bang" and jump on the Klackle's bandwagon, so to speak. Klackle's has been referred to as "the amusement park for apples & pumpkins" by several friends of mine - and they weren't kidding. From the lines & wristbands to the rides & games to the total exhaustion at the end of the day, it certainly is. In retrospect, I think Simon & Anson will appreciate this kind of thing more in future years when they have more energy all day and don't tucker out as quickly. It was a hot (80 degree!) day and we all flopped a lot sooner than we otherwise would have.
We picked our own apples, picked our own pumpkins, had a few different wagon/hay rides and enchanted pumpkin rides, attempted the extensive corn maze (but turned around after a short while - not knowing how long it would take and already wishing for shade after the first dead end), and generally got all the fun we could out of the crazy day. Here's a sampling of the photos from the day:
