A Cookie For My Grapefruit

I really wanted a cookie just now. We don't have any cookies in the house. Maybe this could be another post: How Having Children Keeps Me Healthy. Nah...I'll spare you that one.

Instead of a cookie, though, I'm having half a grapefruit. It's fun, and yummy, and higher maintenance. But mostly yummy. It's a bit of a strange substitute for a cookie though.

I find myself contemplating my funny little grapefruit spoon. Why do I have a gadget with such a singular and uncommon purpose? Perhaps I should buy & eat more grapefruit. Or what else can I do with the serrated spoon?

I love grapefruit! I eat them like oranges (though it takes longer because I peel off the membranes inside!) Actually, I'm kind of obsessed with them. I think I might have one right now, in fact!

I don't have any grapefruit spoons (we did growing up) but it would be nice to have a couple. They are handy to get the last bits from the edges and bottoms of the segments.

I hope your grapefruit was a good one :)

Health...it's hard to pick fruit instead of processed peanut butter/chocolate snacks...hard I say.
