Moving In

On the evening of July 2 after blasting through intense lake-effect thunderstorms, Dad (Grandpa Gerry), Adam & Tia Melissa arrived with the "big yellow truck." We took a day off, but the morning of Independence Day we unloaded our stuff and attempted to get as settled as possible here in our new landing spot...a parsonage that needed some warm bodies in it on the SE side of town.

Our friend Bill came to assist the unloading process which went remarkably quickly. Many hands makes light work...or something like that.

Aunt Karen was the full-time target of Anson's spit-up that day. From that day, she has always packed an extra change of clothes for herself when Anson might be around.

The dining room was the landing site for any boxes that came inside. We didn't have a dining room table yet, so we just kept all the boxes there till we could sort through them. By far the majority of the boxes just went into the double-stall garage...in which we can currently fit NO cars.

Grandma Lizzy was the extra hands for kids while we all unloaded & organized. Grandma Jan brought lunch to feed the hungry hordes. By 1PM we were done and ready for the next project!
