In Silver City there's an "anything goes" vibe. Simon was not the only one of his little friends with long hair...and I don't even think his was the longest - even of the boys. But since Aunt Karen (Adam's sister) is a stylist, she was itching to give him his first "big boy" haircut. We figured that it would be a good idea to have a familiar face be the one to do the haircut too, just in case it was difficult for Simon to accept. Simon was great with it...I, on the other hand, teared up and had a slower acceptance rate. There go my baby's little red-blonde ringlets!

Simon got playful and wanted to push her away with his feet after a little while...that first haircut takes the longest.
