Words

I'm so far behind in blog posts and I keep waiting for a day to get organized, post lots of pictures & tell lots of stories but I realize that it will never come. A tiny tidbit for you all, though, to demonstrate how grown up my baby is:

Anson has two consistent words.
1.) Kitty
2.) Uh-oh!

Kitty sounds more like "dit-dit" or "tsih-tsih," but it's clearly kitty. Uh-oh sounds exactly like uh-oh and is his way of making sure he's got our attention. He knows he's communicating when he says uh-oh and it's great fun to watch his elation when we listen and respond.

A by-product of this cuteness is that Simon has begun a regular mantra of: "No, Anson, my name isn't uh-oh. It's Simon Gerard Lange." Or, "No, Anson, my name isn't kitty, it's Simon Gerard Lange." And sometimes we get: "No, Anson, my name isn't badalala meemoyahabdup glukpubristo byanrowenbot, it's Simon Gerard Lange." He REALLY wants Anson's next word(s) to be his name.
